What Is Sandy Plains Like?
Welcome to sandy plains
You will find a church that is faith-filled, full of hope, Bible based and growing!
Below you will find information and links to help you connect at Sandy Plains.
What to Expect
We are from all kinds of life situations and backgrounds, but at Sandy Plains Baptist most of all we are family in Jesus Christ.
Where? We meet for worship @ 5323 Union Rd., Gastonia, NC 28056 . When you arrive, go to the largest building on campus, the large Family Life Center (we outgrew the older chapel). That's where we meet for Sunday morning Worship services.
When? We have Worship @ 10:30 am Sundays. The worship experience lasts about 1 hour. Guests are always welcome.
What? We are Christians just like you who are seeking to grow in our faith and people also who are wanting to know more about Jesus.
The worship is engaging, led by the praise team, band, and choir. Song lyrics are on the screen so you're able to sing along easily. Each Sunday we hear a Bible-based message from the Senior Pastor that points us to Jesus and builds each of us up in the faith. In addition, before and after worship is an opportunity for new Christian friendships.
Style of Dress? Come as you are. Many do contemporary casual. Some do other styles. It's entirely up to you. We are about God's mercy and grace building us up as Christians and not about being religious.
What else? We are a church that is a great place to connect with the Lord and with other Christians. We believe there are no perfect people, so welcome! Also, we rest in the grace of God and try each day anew to live out the truth found in Jesus. We sing and believe Jesus is a great Savior. So this is your church home, and a place to grow stronger, you belong here.
Small Groups? It's always good to do life with other Christians according to the Bible. We welcome you to try any Small Group this Sunday @ 9:30 am. There are groups for all ages or life situations. Student ministry and Children's ministry both do have small groups at 9:30 am also.
Bottom line, there's something for you, and we're a church family that's excited to meet you this week!
What We Believe
It is our desire to love and serve Jesus, and therefore, as a result we send our people out during the week also to reach, teach, and send others.
