Missions through Sandy Plains

what are Missions opportunities?

As we grow in our faith, we realize that we are on mission for Jesus. The disciples heard this from Jesus, in Acts 1:8. He laid out a three-fold missions focus.

Jerusalem - meaning a local or nearby regional area.

Judea and Samaria - meaning the larger regional area.

To the ends of the earth - meaning international missions.

Special Notice: Due to the NC Governor Covid-19 order against gathering and encouraging restricted travel, we are keeping up local missions, but are restricting international and state missions at this time. We look forward to returning to normal scheduling soon! Join us Sundays 9:15 am / 10:30 am still, or on Live Stream during this temporary season.

Sandy Plains has missions partners.

Locally, we partner with several Shelters, with caring for First Responders, with several Food Pantries, and with a Street Ministry and the Salvation Army as well. Any Sunday see a Pastor for more info to connect with those. Info is also listed in upcoming events in the Bulletin Sundays.

Regionally, we partner with a Shelby Mission project to bring resources to those who are extremely pour areas. We also have occasionally prison ministries and regional service days. We are also active in support of our State Convention which is a missions group, by regular giving. There are disaster relief efforts available as well as time arises. www.ncbaptist.org

Internationally, we partner with some in Honduras and other places for missions. We are also active supporters in prayer and financially for International Missions. Much of our international missions giving goes through the IMB. Members of our church may do missions short-term, two year opportunities, or long-term by this partnership with the IMB. www.imb.org

As you connect and join with us for worship services as a church, we're happy to have you join us on mission.  See you soon!
